PROGRESS COST

OF FILM

Expenditure by Charles Chauvel Productions Ltd. on its first film ("Jedda") amounted to £24,673 up to June 30.

Current assets, including £35,000 fixed deposit, totalled

£36,963. Intangible assets are shown at £8,487.

Paid capital at June 30 was £68,500 in 5/ ordinary shares.

"Jedda" would be ready for the screen in early 1954, the chairman, Mr. C. F. Horley, said at the annual meeting yes-terday.

The film would be made in colour.

Filming would cease about August, 1953.

Negotiations for American finance were broken off be-cause of the conditions sought by the American interests.
