Chauvel To Make

Film In N.T.

i -.

Mr. Charles Chauvel an-nounced yesterday that his next film" would depict the Northern Territory and would be made in colour, in association with overseas interests.

The film, he said, would be produced by Charles Chauvel Productions, Ltd., which was recently incorporated with a nominal capital of £500,000.

Dollar funds had been es-tablished in America for addi-tional technical costs if neces-sary.

The screen play, tentatively entitled "Northern Territory Story," was written by Mr. Chauvel and his wife, Elsa. It deals with to-day's conditions

and events.

Mr. and Mrs. Chauvel made a wide survey of the Territory last year, with the assistance of the Common-wealth Government.

"Shooting is expected to start in August," Mr. Chauvel said last night. The two main bases will be Alice Springs and Mataranka."_
