Dop Hit By

Spectator

AUCKLAND, August 9 (A.A.P.-Reuter).-A spectator struck French Rugby League half-back Jean Dop after the match against South Auckland to-day.

Dop was running for the ball at the time.

Police moved the crowd from the area.

During the match the Frenchmen gesticulated mildly at the frequent penalties for scrum infringements, but there were no other incidents.

France, 25 (Cantoni, Con trastin, Brousse, Galaup, Crespo, tries; Puig-Aubert 3, Bartoletti, Cantoni, goals), beat South Auckland, 7 (Smith, try; Hardwick, 2 goals).
