MURIEL STARR DIES IN U.S.

NEW YORK, April 20 (A.A.P.).-Character actress Muriel Starr, 62, died last night in her dressing-room at the]

John Golden Theatre.

Miss Starr was appearing in "The Velvet Glove."

Miss Starr toured Australia and New Zealand from 1923 to 1926, appearing in a number of stage successes, including "Madame X" and "Within the Law."

In 1928 and 1929 she appeared again in Australian theatres.,

In May, 1930, she was declared a bankrupt, and the following month appeared in her own testi-monial matinee at Her Majesty's Theatre, Sydney.
