DAMAGE IN W.A.

PERTH, Tuesday.-All communications in Western

Australia^ north of Roe-bourne were disrupted by

a cyclonic storm.

It is now reported to be centred between Marble Bar and Mundi-

windi, and moving slowly south-

wards.

The disturbance crossed the Kimberley coast north of Port Hedland and caused slight damage to a few houses.

At Abydos Station it blew down a shearing shed and a cook's quar-

ters.

Half the roof of the Marble Bar post-office was blown away, and other buildings and equipment were damaged.

The last message from the postoffice was received at 3 a.m., and further details of damage to the tosvn could not be obtained.

Ten inches of rain had fallen.
