BLIND BOY WINS

SCHOLARSHIP

PERTH, Friday. -A blind student, Arnold Charles Cook, was one of three successful applicants for the Hackett Research Student

ship for study abroad.

The registrar of the University of Western Australia, Dr. C. vSanders,

said that Cook was one of the out-standing students at the University.

Most- of the books he required for study had been translated into Braille for him, and most of his examination work had been done by typewriter.
