World film and television rights to Ernestine Hill's best-selling novel, "My Love Must Wait." have been sold to the Australian film producer, Mr. Charles Chauvel,

Mr. Chauvel said yesterday that the price paid, which ran into four figures, was a record for any Aus-tralian novel.

"My Love Must 'Wail/' which is the story of the life of Captain Matthew Flinders, has been through six editions of 10,000 copies each m Australia within four years. It was published in'America in 1944 and has just been published m England.

Mr. Chauvel, who is at present pro-ceeding with his production plans for "Sons of Matthew," based on books by the Australian Bernard O'Reilly, said yesterday that it was his ambi-tion to sec "My Love Must Wait" filmed in colour.
