MR. G. STOGDALE'S

DEATH

The death occurred on Saturday afternoon of Mr. George Stanley Stogdale, of Messrs. Stogdale and Son,. York Street. The business was

founded by Mr George Stogdale of Yorkshire, and was established in Melbourne about 70 years ago under the name of Stogdale and Duffus. Offices were opened in all capital

cities and his two sons, Frank and

Stanley joined the firm about 40 years ago

Mr Stogdale, who was 65 years old was educated at Brighton Gram-mar School, Victoria and came to Sydney, when he married in 1914 to control the office here. He is sur-vived by Mrs Stogdale his two daughters, Mrs H. D. Fairfax and Miss Annette Stogdale and his only son George who recently returned from a POW camp in Thailand.
