NAVAL COLLEGE

ENTRANTS

MELBOURNE,. Monday.-The Minister for the Navy, Mr. Makin, announced to-day the names of candidates for entry to the Royal Australian Naval College, who have been selected for appoint-

ment.

The school which each boy recently attended is shown after his name. The successful candidates will be required to join the college early in Februaryi The list Is:

Special cadetships (sons of persons who have been on active service abroad) :-Rory Ward Burnett, Mel-bourne (Melbourne Grammar School); and Peter Robert King, Woody Point. Queensland (Brisbane Grammar School).

Rory Ward Burnett, who received a special cadetship, is the second son of the late Captain Joseph Burnett, who was in "command of H.M.A.S. Sydney when she was lost. Captain Burnett's eldest son, Patrick, is also at the naval college. _
