NEW MARIST BROTHERS

PROVINCIAL.

The Superior General of the Marist Brothers in Italy has appointed the Rev. Brother Arcadius to be Provincial of the Marist Brothers in Australia. He will succeed Brother Andrew, who has been appointed Vice-Provincial.

Brother Arcadius has begun his duties at the Order's headquarters at the Novitiate, "The Hermitage," Mittagong. He was born near Sydney, and received his early education at St Patrick's Marist College, Parramatta. After being on the staff at St. Joseph's College, Hunter's Hill, he was director of Marist Colleges at Bendigo and Sale, Victoria. In 1932, the Australian Province elected him as a delegate to the General Chapter to elect a Superior General in Italy. For the past 10
