EFFECTS FOR LIGHT

HORSE FILM.

Mr. Lindley Evans Writes

Musical Score.

MR. LINDLEY EVANS, who has writ-ten the music for some of Mr. Charles Chauvel's previous films, is pre-paring the score for the Light Horse film, "Forty Thousand Horsemen."

As the new film portrays the Light Horse in action, including the famous charge of Beersheba, when, the Turks were routed, the sound effects are most important. They will include the rattle of accoutrements to the accompaniment of rifles and machine-gun fire, the ex-plosions of shells and mines, and the thunder of thousands of hoofs.

The Light Horse sequences of the film will be introduced with a series of recur-

ring Australian melodies, some of which have again become popular in Britain through the presence of the Australian

troops.

With the exception of a few atmos-pheric sequences, the camera work on "Forty Thousand Horsemen" has been completed. The rough editing of the film has kept pace with the production work. Final editing will start soon.
