Australian Film Engagement

Mr. Will Mahoney, the well-known come-dian, has been engaged to appear In a film to be made this year by Clnesound Productions Pty., Ltd.

First release from Clnesound this year will be "Mr. Chedworth Steps Out," for which Cecil Kellavvay returned from Hollywood: production will commence at the end of this month on "Gone to the Dogs," starring George Wallace: this will be followed by the Will Mahoney production; and then the producerdirector, Mr. Ken. Hal!, plans an ambitious film based on early Australian colonisation, with the inauguration of the Darwin-Adelaide telegraph line as its central theme.

Mr. Mahoney Is at present touring in New Zealand, and, according to Mr. Hall, he will commence production at Clnesound early in June. With him In the picture will be Miss Evie Hayes and Mr. Bob Geraghty, his stage partners. The story, which is essentially Aus-tralian, will be a comedy with music.
