RADIO STATION OPENED.

YOUNG, Friday.

Mr. T. Collins, M.P. for Hume, officially opened Young's new broadcasting station, 2LF, at a radio ball. About 1000 attended. Other speakers were Major Reid, M.L.A., the Mayor of Young, Alderman A. M. Rabbets, Mr. A. S. Wheatley, managing director, and Mr. Raw-don Blandford, manager of 2LF, and Mr. H. B. Whitham, managing director of Western Newspapers, Ltd. The new station has a steel mast 240 feet high, which will show a red light.
