LIGHT HORSE FILM.

Army to Co-operate.

Mr. Charles Chauvel announced last night that his film "Thunder Over the Desert," dealing with the Light Horse, would be made with the co-operation of the Defence Depart-

ment.

The department has agreed to allow the 400 Light Horsemen, who will be visiting Sydney for the 150th Anniversary celebrations, to take part in the film. They will make their camp at Cronulla, and the scenes will be taken among the sand dunes nearby.

Mr. Chauvel said that the film would deal with the defeat of the Turkish army at Romani, on the Suez Canal, in 1916 and in-clude rearguard actions, troops in column for-mation, and charges.

"It has provided a unique opportunity for us, and I cannot say how grateful we are to the Defence Department for their generosity." Mr. Chauvel said last night. "Besides the 400 Light Horsemen, Expeditionary Films will use 200 extras in this film."
