Manly's Programme.

Manly's diamond jubilee celebrations will commence on March 6 with the arrival of a warship in Manly Cove followed by a reception at which the Premier (Mr Stevens) and the Minister for Defence (Sir Archdale Parkhill will take part. Theie will be a procession including naval and military units and the Police Band from the wharf to the beach where a surf display will take place. Cricket golf and tennis évents will also be included A fireworks display and a jubilee ball and dancing on the ocean beach will be features of the first nights piogramme.

On Sunday March 7 a citizens Jubilee service with massed choirs will be held on Manly 0val The address will be delivered by the Federal Minister for Health (Mr Hughes)

During the following week children of the district will play an important part in the piogramme. Aquatic displays on the harbour

a surf carnival at North Steyne and aerial exhibition, woodchopping, Longboats and a Venetian ?? are the chief events for Saturday March 13.
