NEW RADIO STATION.

GRIFFITH, Tuesday.

Broadcasting station 2RG, Griffith, was opened last night. The Minister for Agricul-ture (Mr. Main), who Is visiting the Murrum-bidgee Irrigation Area, congratulated the com-pany on the venture, and referred to the unify-ing influence the station would have on the area. The station, which would be known as "the voice of the Murrumbidgee," waa, he said, the only conmiercial station in the Riverina outside Wagga.

Mr, S. J. Evatt and Mr. W. Rawlings, of the Water Conservation and Irrigation Com-mission, congratulated the management on the studio building and equipment.

2RG will be on the air from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. only for the present. The hours may be

extended later.
