Mr. Langford A. Gibson baa been elected chairman of the board of directora of J. A. D. Gibson and Company, Limited, in place of Mr. P. E. Pilcher, who resigned from the position.

DIVIDENDS.

Beard, Watson and Co. Ltd., half-yearly, first preference, 7 per cent, per annum, second preference, 8 per cent, per annum, both less statutory deduction; ordinary and employees' 4 per cent, for year ended July 31, payable October 15.

Automatic Totalisators, Ltd., 2 per cent., making 5 per cent, for the eight months ended June 30 (equivalent to 71 per cent, per annum), payable October 1.
