MOTHER AND

DAUGHTER

Play Mother and Daughter Roles.

"Death Takes a Holiday," the Walter Ferris play, to be produced by the Impressionist Theatre at the Savoy on June 19, 20, and 21, will have in the cast Mrs. Albert Cazabon and her daughter Nora, who will play the roles of the prin-cess and her daughter

Mrs Cazabon, an Australian by birth, appeared on the legitimate stage some years ago as Norah Delaney, with Gregan MacMahon, pnd, later, with such well-known players as Julius Knight and Har-court Beatty. On a trip abroad, while placing a season in Glasgow, Miss Delaney met and married Albert Cazabon, then conducting the Glasgow Repertory Society's or-chestra. After her marriage Mrs Cazabon left the stage and brought up a family of three children, Nora, John, and Robert

Since coming back to Sydney about seven years ago Mrs. Cazabon has taken a renewed interest in the theatre, and has given valuable help with several amateur productions Both she and her daughter appeared in Miss Ruth Bedford's play, "Murder Next Door," when it was presented at the Community Playhouse, and later in the Pick-wick Theatre Group's production, "The Lilies of

the Field."

The Impressionist Theatre, which is presenting "Death Takes a Holiday," practically owes its existence to Mrs Cazabon, for she called the first meeting to form the group, and has been a member of the committee and one of its most energetic supporters ever since it began at the end of 1933. This is the first time, however, that she has played in any of the theatre's productions though her daughter appeared in the title-role of their first presentation, "Hannele " It was through her excellent work in this production that Miss Cazabon was offered a part in J C Williamson's "Roadhouse," in which she appeared with Dorothy Brunton and John Longden in Sydney, and sub-sequently in Melbourne last year. The part of Grazia in ' Death Takes a Holiday" will be her first part since "Roadhouse "
