"THE BOUNTY" FILM

PASSED BY CENSOR.

Mr. Charles Chauvel's film "In the Wake of the Bounty" has finally been passed by the censorship authorities, and will begin a season at the Prince Edward Theatre on Wednesday, March 15.

At one stage, the censor insisted upon a series of "cuts" from the picture, and Mr. Chauvel appealed to the Censorship Appeal Board. Now the film has been pnssed In a form which is agreeable both to the censor and to Mr. Chauvel. The film deals with the mutiny of Lieutenant Christian and his sup-porters against Commander Bligh, and many of the scenes were made in Tahiti, whither the mutineers sailed after the mutiny. The film will form part of an entirely Australian programme at the Prince Edward Theatre.
