aged 30, killed in action, 16th May, 1918, dearly

loved only son of John and Louisa Dougherty, of 13? Victoria grove, Auburn.

ANDERSON (nee Cissie Barnes).- On the 1st June,

Emily Laura Barnes, beloved wife of Charles Anderson, only daughter of Elizabeth Jane and the late George Thomas, of Armadale, loving sister of William George, of Prahran, after a

short illness, passed peacefully away, aged 36 years.

APPLETON.- On the 1st June, at the residence of his daughter, 23 Carnarvon street, East Brunswick, Henry Stratford, husband of Emily Gertrude Appleton, and father of Henry, Mrs. Robilliard,

Edward (Ted, on active service), and Percival Appleton, aged 61 years.

BARNETT.- On the 31st May, 1918, at his residence,

"Heathcote," 206 St. Leonards road, Ascotvale, George Frederick, the dearly loved husband of Jane E. A. Barnett, and loving brother of Eliza (Mrs. G. H. Tucker), James, Lena, and Maggie (Mrs. T. L. Walker), of Geelong, aged 51 years. (Interment at Geelong.)

DOLAN.- On the 30th May, at the Convent of Mercy, Geelong, Clare Helena (Sister M.

Bonaventure), daughter of the late Mark and Ann Dolan, and dearly loved sister of George, Kate, Dan, Frank, Owen, Lucia, Mrs. J. Ryan, Mrs. J. Dungan, and the late Mrs. J. Canavan.
