:: ;: SOLEMN SCENES FOLLOW THE NIGHT OF DISGRACEFUL CONDUCT IN THE CITY.

The crowded meeting of undergraduates, in the Union Hall at the University yesterday. A resolution was carried, protesting against the action of a small section of their number, and expressing regret for the happenings. The action of the Vice-Chancellor, in cancelling the remaining fixtures of the festival,

was endorsed.

"Prom the undergraduates of Sydney University, as au apology for the insult lu our glorious dead." This was the inscription on a largo wreath placed on the Cenotaph yesterday afternoon. Twenty-six representatives of the undergraduates, wearing black academic gosi'iis, and led by the

president of the association (Mr. J. BL Gosper), performed the ceremony.
