TRAWLING FLEET.

Gunundaal Purchased by Cam and

Sons.

The trawler Gunundaal is to Join the fleet of Cam and Sons, having been purchased from the Red Funnel Fisheries. Cam and Sons now own nine vessels, and theirs is the larg est trawling fleet in Australia. The firm entered the fishing business in 1923, when the Dibblu (now the Charley Cam) and Goorangal were purchased from the State Fisheries De partment.

Other recent purchases were the Nodzu and Asama, which are to be renamed the Olive Cam and Alfie Cam respectively, and the Koraaga. The last named was acquired last week from the Red Funnel Fisheries.

Mr. C. Cam, senior, said last night that it was intended to continue trawling with the Nodzu and Asama to supply the Melbourne market. Operations were being carried on off the coast of Tasmania, but there was difficulty in finding sufficient fish there to meet the demand.
