FLYING BOATS.

Arrival at Perth.

JOINED BY WACKETT.

PERTH, Thursday.

The Royal Air Force flying boat squadron, under the leadership of Group-Captaln CaveBrown-Cave, reached Perth from Carnarvon Just before 1 o'clork this afternoon, circled over the city in perfect formation, and made nn excollont landing on Matilda Bay, Crawley,

Flight-Commander Wackett in the amphibian Widgeon, landed a few minutes later.

The officers were met by Squadron-Leader Drummond and taken in a naval launch to the city, where they were welcomed by BrigadierGeneral Jess and District Naval Commandant Griffiths Bowen.

The machines arrived a short time before tiley were due, and there was a groat rush of hundreds of motor cars from the city along tho road skirting the rtvor front.

The squadron will leave Perth on Juno 15, reaching Adelaide on June 22, and Melbourne on June 29._
