ENGLISH CUSTOMS DUTY.

LONDON. August 7.

Mr. Arthur Shirley, fllni producer, of Syd my, has written a letter to the "Daily Tele sraph," complaining that he is unable to exhibit two Australian-made aims-"The Mys-ery of a Hansom Cab" and "The Sealed Room"-until he pays Customs duty of £244.

Mr. Shirley contrasts this with the "Austra-lian Government's Imperial gesture of admit-ting free of duty all Empire-made films."
