FOOTBALL IN ENGLAND.

SUGGESTED IMPERIAL RUGBY

LEAGUE.

LONDON, April 11.

The Rugby League Council, at a meeting at Man-chester, unanimously approved of the sub committee's proposal to form an Imperial Rugby League Board, consisting of three members nominated by the League, one by New Zealand and one by Australia. Also, that the Yorkshire and Lancashire Unions cease to function in their present form to enable the government of the game in England to be brought directly under the control of the League Council.

A special meeting of the clubs will be held on April 27 to consider the adoption of the proposals.
