SOCIETY OF BRICKS.

MEMORIAL TO MR. E. J. CARD.

A memorial to the late Mr. E. J. Card, foun-der and patron of the Society of Bricks, was unveiled in the Randwick Cemetery yesterday afternoon. The society was inaugurated in 1914 for patriotic and charitable purposes, and to help disabled returned soldiers, and since the conclusion of the war has continued its charitable work in other directions. The me-morial was organised by the Bondi branch of the society. Members of the society, and the Rev. A. E. Rook, of Kensington, delivered addresses, and the memorial was unveiled by Mr. W. Weekes. Mrs. Card (widow) and other members of the family attended the ceremony.
