QUARANTINE STATION.

-

PROPOSED REMOVAL.

On the motion of Alderman Nolan, the Manly Council decided to approach the Commonwealth authorities with the object of having the quarantine station removed from its present site and having the area now occupied thrown open to the public.

The Mayor (Alderman Keirle) stated that he had already pointed out to the authorities that the site was worth over £250,000, and that similar accommodation could be provided else-where for a quarter of that sum.
