RAILWAY ELECTRICITY.

'-.-'

FOR COUNTRY TOWNS.

LITHGOW, Monday.

The Railway Commissioners have informed the Lithgow Council that by November, 1923, they expect to be in a position to supply Lith-gow with all the electricity that is required, both for power and lighting purposes, at a very reasonable figure. The supply will come from the big electric generating station fore-shadowed some months ago which it Is pro-posed to instal at the State coal mine and which will be of such dimensions that the cur-rent will be available for towns farther west, including Bathurst and Orange. The installa-tion will be a very powerful one. The scheme Is contingent on financial provision being made on the Estimates for 1921-22.
