FOR THE WOUNDED

TWELVE NIGHTS' CARNIVAL.

ROUTE MARCH TO-DAY.

The chief attraction last night at the carnival being held at Luna Park, in aid of our wounded soldiers, was an entertain-ment given by members of the Savage Club. A number of songs were rendered with great effect, and the modelling in clay done by one of the members of the club was a revela- tion. Then the stalls again did a spirited business, and the attendance was excellent. To-night the Stadium Limited are supplying a number of boxing

bouts bv Australian and Victorian cham-

pions, and Friday night will be devoted to something entirely novel to Melbourne - a French Confetti Gala

Troops drawn from the 23rd and 24th Battalions, Royal Park camp, under the command of Lieut.-Colonel Foxall, com-manding officer of the 24th Battalion, will leave camp at half past 3 o'clock this after-noon, and march through the city and along St. Kilda road to St Kilda. At the Lower Esplanade, opposite the St. Kilda Baths, they will be met by the mayor and coun-cillors of St. Kilda. A demonstration of resuscitation from gas poisoning and drown-ing will be given by members of the Royal Life Saving Society The men will be en-tertained at tea at Luna Park by the mayor (Councillor J. J. Love).
