GEORGE'S RIVER FERRY.

The Minister for Works has, pending the completion of the new punt now being con-structed al Walsh Island, Newcastle, for the new ferry to be established at Taren Point, George's River, issued instructions for im-mediate commencement of the ferry.

Arrangements have been made temporarily to transfer the auxiliary punt from Tom Ugly's Point for the new service at Taren Point, to he available to the public, free of charge from 6 a.m. on Tuesday, 7th instant.
