BRITISH STEAMER LOST.

ALL ON BOARD PERISH.

CONSTANTINOPLE, March 7.

The English steamer Calvados, which was employed trading locally, was lost in the Sea

of Marmora a week ago.

It was officially denied that there had been any loss of life, but it is now admitted that

the crew and 200 passengers perished.
