THE UNIVERSITY STUDENTS'' DAY OUT. Our

University undergraduates are strong believers in the saying that all work and no play makes boys dull, and so once a year. they leave the studious University and go

out to play. They satirise public men, they sneer at public works, they make fun of burn-ing public questions, and even write doggerel about their professors; and they make a public demonstration in the streets, sitting in all

sorts of vehicles, decorated with calico signs

hearing the strangest devices. Our illustra- tion shows portion of the students' procession on Saturday. Incidentally, It pictures the congestion of traffic on our trams.
