THE LYCEUM.

A crowded audience witnessed the liberal programme provided at the Lyceum on Saturday. "Judas Mac-cabeus," a historical story, was told by an excellent film, and the sketches "Bill and the Greasy Pole," "Kelly s Courtship," were as amusing as they were extravagant. Other films were examples of beauti-ful scenery or stories of love, travel, and tragedy. The life history of Dan Morgan, one of the bush-rangers, has been committed to a film by Mr. Spen-cer's firm. It is a candid tale of a cruel, evil life. Dan Morgan is not made into a hero, but something quite the opposite. His robberies and cold blooded murders inspire horror and leave no room for regret when he dies riddled with bullets. The whole story is cleverly enacted in typically Australian surround-ings, and the film has been well thought out and prepared. A change of programme is announced for this evening. ————————
