THE ENGLISH TEAM

By the mail that reached Sydney on Tuesday Mr. W. A. Rand, the hon. secretary of the New South Wales Rugby Union, received a letter from Mr M. Byrne is the full back of the Moseley Club, and he occupies the same position for the South of England and for England in the international matches. He has represented England for several years. Dudgeon pla) oil as a forward. the latter's club is the Rrhmond. F. N stout was also one of the English forwards against Ireland, and Nichols and Hussey were played on behalf Wales against England. M. Elliott (Howick) claims Scotch international honours, and L Bulger has played for Ireland. C. Boyd and J G Franks are both members of the Dublin University fifteen, the former as full back and the latter as a forward, and pears played as a forward for Moseley Club, which claims the membership of a great many, of their and amongst them the organiser, Mr. M. Mullineux, who is its halfback 'I Here are two Marston's included in the Moseley forwards, but there is a doubt as to which one was a candidate for selection, as the letter does not contain initials France of and Cookson play for Lancashire, Kipling for Middlesex. Schwarz is a South of England man, and Necks plays for Gloucester. Four of the 23 mentionedByrne, Boyd, Bulger, and Mullinoni-wero in the represents!, a team that visited the Cape. A reasonable conclusion to arrive at from the foregoing is that the combination ought to be a fairly representative one of the strength of England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland Rugby football
