Football.

TO THE EDITOR OF THE BRISBANE COURIER.

SIR,—Having read in your issue of this morn-

ning a letter signed "Oval," in which it is stated that the new football club at Petrie-terrace has adopted the rules of the London Association, I wish to state for general information that those rules were only adopted until better ones could be framed, and also that the members of this club are very desirous of having a meeting, of all the football clubs in Brisbane called for the pur-pose of adopting one set of rules, so as to prevent confusion when playing matches. As they are the junior club, they feel somewhat diffident about calling a meeting, but trust some other older established one may take the initiative and

do so.—I am, &c,

PETRIE TERRACE. Brisbane, May 3, 1876.
