PARKES, MONDAY.

To-day was a close holiday for the opening of the railway. There were over 2000 people at the rail-way station this morning on the arrival of the Governor's train. The Governor was presented with an address. A special excursion train took about 700 people to Forbes, and was followed by the Governor's special.
