RYDE. SATURDAY.

At tho polling to-day for an alderman for East Ward, Mr. Coulter polled 55, and Mr. Forsyth 32.

PARRAMATTA, Saturday.

The election for two aldermen for Prospect and Sherwood took place to-day, with the following results :-John Booth, 131; Joseph Booth, 117; A. T. Holroyd, 60; J. Y. Mills, 34. Some dispute originated as to the legality of voting, by one of tho defeated candidates.

LIVERPOOL, Saturday.

The Liverpool municipal election took place to-dny, with the following result :-Brown, 159 ; Haigh, 148 ; Barrett, 118; Paine, 113 ; Solomon, 112. Three are to be returned.

INVERELL, Saturday.

The following is the result of the polling for the muni-cipal election to-day :-W. Buxton, 115 votes ; Mayne, 80 ; Farnsworth, 65. The two first named are returned. There

was very little excitement.

BRISBANE, Saturday.

Mr. John Sinclair was unanimously elected Mayor of Brisbane to-day.
