THURSDAY. Last

night, a Chinaman reported the police that a man, riding a gray horse and armed with a revolver, rode up to the Chinese camp near town, and demanded money ; he attempted to fire on them, but the revolver missed fire. Thirteen Chinamen began to scream, and the man rode away in the direction of Kimo. Constables Barry, Gorman, and Brown started in pursuit at 11 last night and have not yet returned.
