ADVANCETOWN HOTEL FIRE

The Advancetown Hotel,' erected some 30 years ago, was destroyed by fire during- the early hours of last Tuesday morning. It was a wooden structure of 11 rooms, situated on the main Numinbah road, about 10 miles ?from ^Nerang, and was owned by Mr.

A. E Giles, , of wynnum.. Mrs i)Tei', the licensee, was away ^on a visit to Brisbane, ana the premises woie In charge of Mr G. A. Robinson and his niece, Mrs Lowry. Owing to the lack of* fire fighting appliances it, was not long before the building was destroyed. Nothing was saved. The furniture and effects w^ere -covered to. the' extent of £250 / ?. ? r
