ROAD.-Whereas a petition, purporting to be signed by the proprietors of the land through which the Parish Road known as the Mudbank and Cook's River Road, leading from Sydney to Mudbank and Cook's River, passes, and the pioprietors of lands within three (3) miles of, and usually approached by, the said road, has been pre-sented to us, the undersigned Magistrates in Petty Sessions assembled, at the Central Police Office, in the city of Sydney, in the district through which the said road passes, requesting a public meeting for the purpose of submitting to the consideration of the said proprietors whether they, the said proprietors, deem it expedient or not trustees should be appointed for such parish road : Now we the said Justices, do, therefore, by virtue of the authority given us, hereby convene a Public MEETING of all the Proprietors of the said lands to be held at the Central Police Office, George-street, Sydney, at 11 o'clock a.m, on SATURDAY, the 26th day of August, 1865, for the purpose of submitting to their consideration whether or not Trustees should be appointed under the provisions of the Act 4th Victoria, No. 12. and we appoint JOHN SUTHERLAND, Esq., Justice of the Peace, and Messrs. son who can furnish such information as will dis-cover the fate of ROGER CHARLES TICHBORNE. He sailed from the port of Rio Janeiro on the 20th of April, 1854, in the ship La Bella, and has never been heard of since, but a report reached England to the effect that a portion of the crew and passengers of a vessel of that name was picked up by a vessel bound to Australia—Melbourne it is believed—it is not known whether the said ROGER CHARLES TICHBORNE was amongst tho drowned or saved. He would at the present time be about thirty-two years of age, is of a delicate constitution, rather tall, with very light brown hair and blue eyes. Mr. Tichborne is the son of Sir. James Tichborne, Bart., now deceased, and is heir to all his estates. Tho advertiser is instructed to state that a MOST LIBERAL REWARD will be given for any in-formation that may definitely point out his fate. Gentle-men in a position to refer to snipping reports may be able to find some record of tho saving of the shipwrecked persons from La Bella, and a very careful search, if with a success-ful result, will amply repay any one who will take the trouble to investigate the matter.
