To repeal "The Mount Wellington Aerial Railway Act, 1905." and to autho-rise the said Arnold Wertheimer or his assigns to construct an aerial or other system of railway from the Cascades, near Hobart, to the Pinnacle, Mount Wellington, instead of the railway autho-rised by the said Act from the Springs aforesaid to the Pinnacle, Mount Wel-lington.

2. To apply lo the said Bill all the provisions of "The Railways Clauses Con-solidation Act, 1901," which are capable of application thereto.

3. Generally to provide all things neces-sary to enable the aforesaid additional line to be constructed.

A MALGAMATION OF SCHOOLS. PRELIMINARY ANNOUNCEMENT.

At the end of the present year an amal-gamation will take place of the Hutchins School with the King's Grammar School, the old title of the Hutchins School being retained.

The Rev. J. S. Bryers, B.A. (honours), Cambridge, formerly a master of Rossatl School. Lancashire, England, and at pre-sent Rector of St. John's, Goulburnstreet. Hobart, has been appointed Head Master. Mr. Gurney will bo in charge of tho Lower School. Mr. Gower will take the Senior Mathematical work, and Mr. Brammall will assist in Classical work. Other masters will also be engaged at> required.
