Play Again Impressive

Melbourne has included 13 new men 10

of whom are recruits and three former seconds players on its senior list for this season. The names of six men who were on the list last year have been removed

New men are Ball (Merbein), Daly (Sand hurst) Dullard (Rochester) Giles (Mildura) Gregory (Tasmania) Kimberley (Sandhurst)

McGrath (Boort) O Reef c (Northcote) Rodda (State Savings Bank) and Symonds (Yea)

Baxter Gibbs and Neen in (seconds) Lewis and Foster (retired) Dean Meehi McNaughton and Regan have been omitted

Men retained -Bpames Buckley Baggott Barassi Emselle Fischer Furniss fanning Glass Gibb Ha ric j Hingston 6 and L Jones La Fontaine Lock Mueller, Maher Murnane McNamara Roberts Reiffel Smith Truscott Wartman and Williams

Once again impressive form was shown in the practice game

Emselle who played with great dash was probably the best of the regular men but La Fontaine again showed that he was up to his top form Smith and Baggott combined well and Mueller marked consistently well Maher Fischer Buckley and Williams were the best

of the others

Ball marked splendidly in the crushes and was the outstanding recruit Rodda the State Savings Bank and amateur interstate rover was not far behind him with clever football and Kimberley did well at centre half back O Keefe is finding form again and Dullard played with more sparkle Keenan and Gibbs continued to show impressive form
