TAEMAS BRIDGE

To be Rebuilt

SITE DECIDED ON

YASS, Wednesday.

Since the Taemas Bridge was destroy-ed by the big flood of last year, depu-tations comprising residents on the other side of the Murrumbidgee River have urged the authorities to proceed with the building of a new bridge without delay.

One section favours the old site, whilst another prefers a site a few miles up stream. However, at the last deputation, both factions agreed to abide by the decision of the Minister for Works, and there is a likelihood of the upper site being chosen on the score of economy and less damage by floods.
