'THE FLYING CLOUD'

REO MASTERPIECE

More than ordinary interest has been caused in motoring circles by tht ar- rival this week in Sydney of three new models of the Reo Company's latest car production— the 'Flying Cloud' Sedan, the Brougham, and the Roadster. By arrangement with the directors and

management, the new cars were on pri-vate exhibition this morning, and will be again to-morrow morning. In the vesti-bule of the Prince Edward Theatre, In Castlereagh-street Theatre-goers to the afternoon and evening sessions will be afforded an opportunity of Inspecting the cars. The aim of the Reo Company's en-gineers has been to produce. at a reason-able cost, a car beautiful in outline, ap-pointment, and equipment, and one in which the material and mechanical parts would contain latest improvements, tend-ing to comfort and long life. Some of these are entirely original ideas, such as the internal expanding hydraulic brakes, Reo being the first car manufacturers to adopt them.

Further, Reo engineers claim that 'every device to ensure the comfort of the driver and passengers is embodied in the design of the 'Flying Cloud,' while the combination of mechanical parts, toge-ther with the material employed in con-struction, will more than maintain the re-putation, proven by statistics, that 'No other American car lasts as long as Reo —not one.' irrespective of price.' The 'Flying Cloud' obtain its name from a famous - American clipper of the fifties. The new cars may also be seen at the country distributors. Reo Motors, Ltd., 171 Wllllam-street. Sydney, and at the city distributors, R. F. Oliver and Oliver, Ltd., 147 Castlereagh-street.

The agents point out that the car was a standard Buick chassis. At times they carried 82 gallons of petrol, in addition to luggage, which brought the weight up to that of a Buick coach body.
