TREATY WITH YEMEN

SIGNED

Remove Causes Of Friction

LONDON. February 15.

In the House of Lords to-day Lord Plymouth said that the treaty signed a few days ago between the British Resident Minister in Aden and the Imam of Yemen dealt with several matters which had caused friction for some years. The treaty was for 40 years, and guaranteed the independence of the King of Yemen and the maintenance of peace and friendship between the contracting parties. Great credit, said Lord Plymouth, was due to the British Resident Minister for having at last negotiated a treaty.
