Student pilots
Sharply increasing costs are probably the major rea
son for a 29.5 per cent decline this year in people seeking student-pilot licenccs from the Department of Aviation, according to the General Aviation
Association.
Scholarships
The Australian Academy of the Humanities has awarded scholarships, grants-in-aid, to three Australians for overseas study in 1983-84. The recipients arc Dr B. Dawson, University of Newcastle, Dr P. Eggert, La Trobc University, and Dr A. McCoy, University of NSW.
