NEW BRIDGE TO BE

OPENED

Built at a cost of £50,000, the new 1,800ft. suspension bridge between New-haven and San Remo, Phillip Island, will be opened this afternoon by Mrs. Dun-stan, wife of the Premier.

A full public holiday has been declared on the island, and a large party of official visitors from the mainland will attend the opening.

The official party, including Mr. Dun-stan, Premier, and Mr. Duncan, Chief Commissioner of Police, will go to the island from Stony Point by ferry, and will be entertained at lunch by the Phillip Island Shire Council.
