FATAL SNAKE

BITE

Treatment Delayed

Bitten by a snake when she was walking in snake-infested country beside the Goulburn River on Sunday, Miss Norma Wells, of Perth st., Prahran, died in Royal Melbourne Hospital yesterday.

She did not see the snake, and thought she had been pricked on the foot by a thorn. When her foot became swollen and bruised, she bandaged it, but on Sun-day night she became ill, and a doctor sent her to hospital In Melbourne.
