ENTERTAINING

THE TEAMS

Players in the New South Wales, Queensland, South Australian, and West Australian baseball teams which will visit Melbourne for the Australian carnival from July 29 to August 5, will have few spare moments, as the Victorian Baseball Association has arranged a complete itinerary for their visit

Apart from Western Australia, which will arrive earlier in the week the teams will reach Melbourne on July 28, and will be welcomed by the Lord Mayor (Councillor Coles at the Town Hall Entercomments have been arranged for all teams after the opening games on the Saturday, and they will be taken on a trip through the hills on the Sunday.

It is probable that a challenge match between a combined team from the visitors and a team from the Victorian women's association will be played In this match the men will have to bat, pitch, and throw with the wrong hand

The Collingwood club will entertain all teams at a dance after the matches on the Monday, and the interstate conference will he held that night. The visitors will be the guests of four clubs at a picture night on the Tuesday On the Thursday all teams will attend the VBA bill at Ormond Hall, after having competed in the field games challenge against the combined universities of California No matches will be played on the Friday but a golf competition will be held at Northern and on the Saturday the final matches
