COMMUNITY
HOSPITALS
Mordialloc and
Chelsea
Plans for the establishment of Com
munity hospitals at Chelsea and Mordialloc are being considered by committees of re- sidents and councillors.
At Mordiallic the question was discussed by the carnival committee at a special meeting last night. A request was made
that the committee should assist the es-
tablishment of a hospital by contributing from future carnivals. The committe approved of the project in principle, but it was pointed out that before the contri-butions could be made the constitution of the committee would have to be amended.
The plans at Chelsea have been deferred following a report that at least £1 000 would be necessary before a community hospital could be established. A sugge-
tion has been made that if the Mordialloc hospital were established it could serve Chelsea and surrounding district.
